Peppermint Foot Scrub
Have you ever stopped to consider the load that our feet have to carry every single day? Are you giving your feet the attention they deserve? If not, allow me to introduce you to Peppermint Foot Scrub!
Sugar scrubs are all the rage right now and for good reason. They’re quick, easy and inexpensive to make. Plus, you can customize them to your own taste.
You may already have everything you need right there in your pantry. More importantly, because you make it with natural ingredients, it won’t contain all the extras usually found in commercial scrubs.
In addition to being healthier for you, they also make excellent gifts! Since sugar scrubs are so simple to make, even kids can get in on the action. Imagine the smile on a loved one’s face when they receive a gift made especially for them by little hands!
Check out these benefits!
- Sugar exfoliates rough, dead skin
- Coconut oil softens, smooth’s and moisturizes
- Peppermint cools and invigorates
Similarly, Epsom Salt also exfoliates and is great for relieving tired, achy feet. If you like, you may use it in place of sugar. Plus, the extra healing benefits of Epsom Salt can’t be beat. However, use caution if there are any open sores on the feet as it may cause stinging. Also, don’t forget the guys in your life! These days, men are becoming more comfortable with walking into a nail salon and asking for a pedicure. Apparently, we ladies aren’t the only ones who enjoy a nice foot scrub! But seriously, anyone who spends a lot of time on their feet might appreciate such a thoughtful gift!
If you want to gift more than one, this recipe doubles and triples easily!
So…let’s get to it!

The Process
If you have the time, I recommend starting with a foot soak in Peppermint Hydrosol. This is especially nice if you’re feet are tired and burning.
First, fill a foot tub with hot water or as warm as you can tolerate. Add a cup of Peppermint Hydrosol and soak for about 20 minutes. This will help soften those rough spots.
Second, scoop out about 1-2 tablespoons of Peppermint Foot Scrub and massage all over wet feet. Be sure to give special attention to those rough, patchy areas.
Third, rinse and dry feet thoroughly. Follow up with a soothing or moisturizing lotion. Be generous with the lotion and don’t worry about rubbing it completely in.
Finally, slide on some comfy socks and let the skin absorb the excess lotion. Trust me, it’s worth the extra effort and the extra lotion
And this is where I slide in a word of caution: if you (or someone you know) are diabetic, foot soaks should be avoided altogether unless approved by your doctor.
Does that mean you can’t use Peppermint Foot Scrub? Absolutely not! Simply apply after a bath or shower, following the same procedure. Any love you give your feet is better than none at all…with or without the foot soak!
So pamper yourselves, my friends… your feet deserve it!
